“Rebel Witch is the conclusion to the Crimson Moth duology, focusing heavily on Rune and Gideon as they struggle with their feelings for each other while fighting to survive. Gideon delivers peak “touch her and die” energy throughout the book. Though they don’t trust each other, circumstances repeatedly force them to work together. One of the main plot points introduced early on has a predictable outcome, but that doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of watching it unfold. However, I found myself wishing for more focus on the overarching world plot, as much of the book revolves around the characters wrestling with their emotions and whether they can be together.”
