“If you’re looking for the perfect cozy book for fall/winter and that you’re into British Inn deep in the countryside and magic, then it is for you. I really enjoyed this book better than her previous book (The Very Secret Society Of Irregular Witches). Where the other book was just an okay read to me, this one really grabbed my attention and I absolutely loved the setting. The characters names weren’t too far fetched, the feeling of coziness was 100% there, and the plot was very good ! In this book, the inn and the main character, Sera, are definitely at the heart of the story, and I loved reading about both. Like her previous book, the romance isn’t the focus but happens gradually and really grew on me as the story developed. It’s not fast paced and full of plot twist (even if I was quite surprised sometimes), but I think this book fits perfectly the description for a cozy book! (Just a note that I read this as paperback) ”

“This witchy tale was a mix of a search for one’s true self, a found family drama, and a slow burn romance. Sera has almost given up hope that she’ll ever recover the magic she lost to save someone she loves, and in turn, thinks she will never really find herself again. When Luke stumbles upon her inn, she begins to see what she wants in life a little differently. I loved this story- it felt part Practical Magic, part Encanto, and part Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. The characters were easy to love or hate, and had enough complexity to make them feel real. I loved every inch of the magical inn, but didn’t find the fantasy elements too deep or too hard to understand. There’s a good helping of slow burn, totally fade to black, romance that felt genuine and fit the plot well. Really glad I picked this one up! ”
