“Like the previous adult book by Sangu Mandanna, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, this is the coziest warm cup of tea of a book. I was delighted the whole way through by the colorful cast of characters, the sweet love story, and the grounded but creative magic. I wish I had infinite witch adventures from this universe because, when reading, I feel like everything might just turn out okay. Great narration (many accents!). ”

“Sangu delivers a beautifully crafted story that blends magic with everyday life in the most delightful way. The inn setting creates a cozy atmosphere that perfectly complements the fast-paced plot, making you feel right at home within the pages. The characters are genuinely loveable, and the story thoughtfully celebrates different cultures, lifestyles, and chosen family dynamics. A heartwarming read that brings just the right amount of magic to your day.”

“A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping is cozy, sweet, and magical. There’s also more to this story because it is about self-acceptance, there’s representation (autism, queer), and all about finding your safe haven with the right people. Really enjoyed listening to this one! 🧙♀️ ”

“Set in modern-day England but with a witchy twist. The main character, Sera, is a witch who’s lost her powers and runs an inn that is open only to those in need. Her story about chosen family and what she’s willing to sacrifice for those she loves on her quest to regain her magic will draw you in, and you’ll be sad when it’s over. The quirky cast of diverse characters is lovable and funny. There’s a slow-burn romance that simmers in the background. I loved this book, it was such a fun, easy read. ”

“If you’re not feeling the first chapter, keep going! The majority of the book is from 30-year-old Serah’s POV, and the vibe is distinctly different from her teen self. I cried a few times in this book from the beautiful elements of chosen family and queer love. ”

“If you’re looking for the perfect cozy book for fall/winter and that you’re into British Inn deep in the countryside and magic, then it is for you. I really enjoyed this book better than her previous book (The Very Secret Society Of Irregular Witches). Where the other book was just an okay read to me, this one really grabbed my attention and I absolutely loved the setting. The characters names weren’t too far fetched, the feeling of coziness was 100% there, and the plot was very good ! In this book, the inn and the main character, Sera, are definitely at the heart of the story, and I loved reading about both. Like her previous book, the romance isn’t the focus but happens gradually and really grew on me as the story developed. It’s not fast paced and full of plot twist (even if I was quite surprised sometimes), but I think this book fits perfectly the description for a cozy book! (Just a note that I read this as paperback) ”

AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! • A whimsical and heartwarming novel about a witch who has a second chance to get her magical powers—and her life—back on track, from the national bestselling author of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches.Sera Swan used to be one of the most powerful witches in Britain. Then she resurrected her great-aunt Jasmine from the (very recently) dead, lost most of her magic, befriended a semi-villainous talking fox, and was exiled from her Guild. Now she (slightly reluctantly and just a bit grumpily) helps Jasmine run an enchanted inn in Lancashire, where she deals with her quirky guests' shenanigans, tries to keep said talking fox in check, and longs for the future that seems lost to her. But then she finds out about an old spell that could hold the key to restoring her power…Enter Luke Larsen, handsome and icy magical historian, who arrives on a dark winter evening and just might know how to unlock the spell’s secrets. Luke has absolutely no interest in getting involved in the madcap goings-on of the inn and is definitely not about to let a certain bewitching innkeeper past his walls, so no one is more surprised than he is when he agrees to help Sera with her spell. Worse, he might actually be thawing.Running an inn, reclaiming lost magic, and staying one step ahead of the watchful Guild is a lot for anyone, but Sera Swan is about to discover that she doesn’t have to do it alone...and that the weird, wonderful family she’s made might be the best magic of all.
Sangu Mandanna is the author of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, Kiki Kallira Breaks a Kingdom, and several other novels about magic, monsters, and myths. She lives in Norwich, a city in the east of England, with her husband and three kids.
